As a member of Travelife for Tour Operators (herein “Travelife”) you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
1. SUBSCRIPTION CONDITIONS
1.1. Organisations may join Travelife as a member via email notification to Travelife. The membership fees published at our website (travelife.info) apply, unless other individuals or collective arrangements have been made in written (e.g. email).
2. PAYMENT TERMS
2.1. Upon confirmation of your request to become Travelife member, an invoice will be calculated based on the remaining days of the current calendar year. After September 1, you will receive an invoice for the remaining of the current and the next calendar year.
2.2. Travelife collects annual membership fees. The subscription will be automatically invoiced in the first month of a new calendar year.
2.3. Payments must be remitted within 20 days of receiving the invoice, unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties in writing.
2.4. Unpaid balances may be subject to collection charges and statutory interest based on the law of The Netherlands.
2.5. Failure to pay in due time may lead to suspension to Travelife tools and benefits.
3. CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIP
3.1. Participation in Travelife may be canceled at any time, and without cause, by either party.
3.2. Cancelation will be effective from the next calendar year onwards and must be communicated in writing (firstname.lastname@example.org) before December 31st of the current calendar year.
3.3. Failure to pay an invoice and/or to comply with these terms and conditions may lead to immediate termination of membership.
3.4. Cancellation of membership, on any grounds, means that members can no longer use the Travelife name and logo on any public platforms nor promotional materials, all references to Travelife must be removed within one month from the date of the cancellation notice.
4. PASSWORD SECURITY
4.1. Access of the member’s section of the Travelife website is through the use of a personal login and password. Travelife will provide members with an initial default password. For greater security, please change your password immediately on your first login.
4.2. Sharing your unique login name and/or password with organisations or persons outside of your organisation is not permitted.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
5.1. The training materials, tools and guidance provided by Travelife (online and through other means) are the intellectual property of Travelife.
5.2. You agree not to use these materials for purposes outside of your organisation without the permission of Travelife. Materials published on any media or platforms must refer to the Travelife name and logo.
6. USE OF THE MEMBERS SECTION
6.1. By using the member’s section, you agree and warrant that you shall not submit, publish, or display on the website any material that might be offending, objectionable or unlawful.
6.2. You agree not to post any materials that violate or infringe upon the copyright, trademark, rights of publicity, privacy rights nor other rights of any person while connected to or otherwise directly or indirectly using our website.
8. DATA SECURITY AND PRIVACY
8.1. As a Travelife member you agree to receive regular updates and newsletters from Travelife via email.
8.2. Travelife will guarantee to respect the confidentiality of all company specific data shared with Travelife online or otherwise. These data will not be shared with third parties without your prior agreement save the following exceptions:
- General membership data (contact details, Travelife status) are accessible to your travel association in case your association has signed a partnership agreement with Travelife.
- The data of individual staff members of a specific member are accessible to the sustainability coordinator (main contact person for Travelife) of that member.
- The data of a student are accessible to its educational institute in case the institute is a partner of Travelife.
9. TRAVELIFE CERTIFIED
9.1. Note that before a third party onsite certification audit will take place an additional certification agreement will have to be signed with Travelife.
You and anyone claiming on your behalf releases and forever discharges Travelife and its affiliates, successors and assigns, officers, employees, representatives, partners, agents and anyone claiming through them (collectively, the “Travelife Parties”), in their individual and/or corporate capacities from any and all claims, liabilities, obligations, promises, agreements, disputes, demands, damages, causes of action of any nature and kind, known or unknown, which you have or ever had or may in the future have against Travelife or any of the Travelife Parties arising out of or relating to this agreement and related services.
11. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement contains the entire agreement between the member and Travelife regarding members' use of our website, and all materials, directly and indirectly, related to it. This Agreement supersedes all prior written and verbal understandings, writings, and representations and may only be amended after mutual and written agreement with Travelife.
You acknowledge and agree that the terms and conditions of this Agreement can be subject to change by Travelife at any time and shall be effective after having been posted on our website. Should material changes arise, you will be requested to resign the terms and conditions. Such changes will be put into effect for existing members in the next calendar year unless communicated otherwise.
